    drug/cocain article in THE FACE
"snotty-nosed, self-confident wankers, sad wankers, sad people trying to look cool, pikeys, people who can afford it, the easily-led people, people up for a good time, people with a steady income and no responsibility, famous people, people with no donfidence, rich people, wannabes, emotionally unstable people, wankers, arseholes, people that care, gays, media types, hard people, people involved in acting and the theatre, think-they're-it-girls, peple iwth mobile phones, post teenage e-users, psychos, people living in cities, hyperactive people with trendy hair, career criminals, loud champgne-y people, people under pressure..."

    CAN YOU SPOT YOURSELF?

this was a cocain issue published by the FACE a year ago, called "somethink like a phenomenon", its excellent amusing and informative, not the usual drugs are bad for you.

    on a more positive note
i joined benenden girls school croquet team today
this is the most amusing team i have ever joined
how typical...a public school girl in uniform playing croquet...civilised i think not...its all about pissing off the other team members it seems and is very vicious
cant you see im now turning into a proper public school girl
along with drama auditions today has been hectic...i really wish to get the part as the spoilt rich teenage coke head...who would of thought benenden would put on something as controversial considering the abortion scene in cabaret was removed for being just that
i very much look forward to entering croquet competitions...it will be a shocker

on a lighter again note...embarassment occured when my art history teacher walked into a room as i was walking out when i walked back in i heard the last 30 seconds of vnv's cold blaring out...when i realised to my embarassment what he was listening to i turned it off and he said "oh matilda i was enjoying that"...eeek

    ideas, thoughts and musings
wishes for: an alarm which beams the time onto the ceiling therefore one would not have to turn over to find out the time and could immediatly fall back to sleep on looking at the ceiling

has discussed at great length: whether humans concept of mortality has come from God or whether it is dependent of God...both appears to be possible but of course being an atheist i believe that humans can be moral without believing in God

hates: 70's disco tunes which are danced to in aerobics (has been told that one is allowed to bring in dance music for everyone to try- gabba anyone?)

william shakespeare was bisexual and most of his sonnets were written to an unknown man the most recent estimation has been interesting and various

wants more than ever: a gay househusband to look after me and mark...it would be fantastic alienfox has offered...this appears to be very favourable

    i think im in love...
totally amazing...my new 5" platforms are beautiful creations in their own right and now i can be a prestigous 5'7"

    only complication...
on walking myself to the train station i decided that i wanted to have a wheel on bag to carry my stuff in...only on leaving my house i realised while trying to walk down the road that i couldnt reach the handle of the said bag because my arms werent in proportion to my legs...it was a staggered journey

other than that i am a bit of a emotional wreck for no apparent reason

2 good quotes said today at my readers circle meeting:

"its about sex but intellectuals will say its about love" about rapture

"one would never like the idea of heroin being served over the counter at boots BUT by the end of the novel you would agree" said in one poshest voice about ben eltons high society

    crusifixes anyone???
am in the process of writing my art "dissitation" not actually a dissitation at all as it is only 3,000 words but that is what they have been named

i need to find modern artists (20th century) who use crusifixes and images of Jesus in their art

if anyone could help i would be entirely grateful...i have so far decided to use

    Antony Gormley
    Francis Bacon
Stanley Spencer (possibly though i will have to research this more)
    Salvador Dali
    Sutherland (similar situation to Spencer)

im also researching byzantine art and the periods leading up to 20th century religious art...the exhibition seeing salvation should be useful

    any ideas
    thanks

    quotations
    the quotation
    "ignorance is bliss"
is taken out of context by those who use it in mose cases

the actual full quotation of this line
"where ignorance is bliss, it be a folly to be wise."
shows how wrongly it is used by so many when it is used
i really like the idea Thomas Gray is presenting in his poem Odes to a distant prospect of Eton College and i think his words are wrongfully used by many

i will not go into the history of the saying "beyond the pale" now either as im sure this will interest very few of you

this a bible reading have been the highlights of my evening...corinthians and acts here i come

    sea swimming has been gorgeous
freezing your entire body for a few glorious seconds until one becomes accustomed to the water...

tomorrow my attendence shall be summonded to a slow food picnic which is taking place up a very large hill
the idea behind slow food is the exact opposite of fast food...they take a long time preparing gorgeous and beautifully presented food...it is exquist and wonderful...
their icon is a snail (bless)
it should be a fun filled experience

also took myself to my first ever 'rave' styled thing
was excellent but my attention was waining...there was the most fantastic digaree do playing...two playing in accordance...but tiredness and my bed won over lack of sleep and staying up all night...though the idea of spending the night on the island did seem appealing when i was on the ferry going home

also got my first try on a hov pod yesterday...its my new toy i love it...of course its a big hovercraft toy and its not really mine but...

also according to tom waites the paino is drunk and needs a hearing aid :$

update: i have been having conversation to a recently retired english woman who has been converted to an indian cult type thing changing her name from sarah to dakshina (trivial detail) and she has been telling me about how these experiences out in india and how its made her realise how not to be selfish...she did not describe selfish as doing things which others do not like or self absorbtion but instead as looking at the bigger picture...seeing how trivial everything is...it makes me ask the question what is selfishness and is it a concept invented by someone to make others feel guilty for being happy???i like the idea of things being trivial as for one reason fucking up does not become so important...im very happy at the moment as i love my friends and the support that i have everywhere and like [info]deathbypeaches has been commenting im very lucky to be me...thank you everyone

    travelling arguements and happiness
    its so beautiful out here
i remember why i found it hard to leave last time i visited
oh yes i did return to my parents house in ireland for the weekend and im happy to be doing so...
the last few weeks have been a major lacking in energy for me and ive been missing various things because of falling asleep

    journey was horrendous
mother decided that she wanted me to take her lakelands plastic cutlery with me to ireland had major trauma with her as i couldnt carry her bags but eventually managed to do so (much manovering here due to my bags and hers

on the metal steps on the tube i fell down hitting my shins and i kept on falling down a flight of stairs shredding my legs...well cutting and brusing them lots...and my bag was open and i had loads of fruit in it and it fell on the ground...got on the tube was soo shocked i started crying and couldnt stop

uncle had to get off his train and come and rescue me

then scary man sat opposite me and asked me about my belief in god
i told him i was an atheist and he lauched at me
he told me that our consciences come from god and therefore etc...i counter aruged this stating that i had studied ethical theories surrounding the ideas of conscienceness linking to god and not linking and had decided not to believe in god (though i was already an atheist) and he still wouldnt leave me alone
this was the second time this happened in 2 days
but luckily very camp uncle stepped onto the train and saved me

got to airport and they had sold my ticket on my plane (i had to fly business as economy tickets stop being sold 24hrs before the flights and i booked 20 hrs before i flew) and then i had to wait for another plane...but i got compensation (216 euros fucking hell :D)

    finally arrived here though
    and it was worth it
the drive home alone was worth it...the countryside here is so gorgeous...i never thought id come back here out of choice but im glad ive changed

and when i bumped into ppl i hadnt seen in a year everyone was lovely happy and kind and ive had a fab time...yeay for me

hopefully back in london on monday but maybe later...results on thursday
not sure of plans but would love to see ppl

objective for the day: quit my art course

was severly pissed off with the st martins art teacher who was excessivly rude towards me when i turned up yesterday
though i admit was a day and a half late (the excuse was a migrane which she believed) and then when i did produce a piece of work she discredited it and to be honest my mother booked me onto a this course and i have no interest in half of it (i dont enjoy painting)

so i quit the course today
spent a glorious day walking around my area (Finally picking up a parcel from the posting office has been there for 5 weeks)
and i walked through hyde park and took a look in the serpentine
    was glorious
also have brought a very cool hat

oh and i got another piercing...oh yes the obsession is far from over

only decision i have to make is do i go to ireland for the weekend considering i dont have any plans for the weekend and my parents are willing to treat me and also ill see some ppl who really want to see me

but the piercing will be a problem

oh i also have a new girlfriend (beams)
oh and i was give 7 cds full of mp3's (thank you dear...bless)

matilda is the #707 most common female name.
0.015% of females in the US are named matilda.
Around 19125 US females are named

    im suprised its that popular
    this made me laugh though

matilda is a very rare male name.
Very few men in the US are named matilda.
Be proud of your unique name!

had another smashing (such a public school word (sorry)) evening with [info]deathbypeaches [info]cyber_child [info]silky_fish and uwe...thank you to all of you it was fun and i hope to do this again soon and more regularly

esp as me and [info]deathbypeaches have decided to make wednesdays our regular night for watching movies (my movie education)

my art tutor (i love calling them by their first names and have been over stressing their first name calling a bit me thinks) understands my work more now and im in the process of making a wire copy of my hands by wrappign 1.5 mm wire around them and then connecting them all together and i will present these harsh (they do look so) looking items in a plush velvet setting as a juxtaposition (sp) i will post pics when i get them back

the idea was based on the theme of optical illusions based using body parts

oh by the way the tate modern has a really good instillation piece of art work at the moment by bill viola called five angels of the millenium which everyone should expierience...its fantastic i will tell more if anyone wishes to have the details

[info]embellina is coming down to stay tomorrow and im looking forward to have company

hope you all have a good day and to see you soon
